Highway 100 Project Gets Rough Construction Timeline

An informational meeting will be held Sept. 10.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation has proposed a rough timeline for its project to replace three aging bridges over Highway 100.

MnDOT plans to construct the CP Rail bridge between late 2014 and early 2015. Once finished, the department will move onto the Minnetonka Boulevard bridge, which will take remainder of 2015. The Highway 7 bridge will take most of 2016.

The $80 million project will add lanes on Highway 100 between Highway 7 and County Road 5.

MnDOT is holding an informational meeting on the project from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Sept. 10 at Groves Academy.

In late June, representatives from MnDOT, from the city of St. Louis Park and from a MnDOT community advisory committee held a sparsely attended open house to answer questions about noise walls, bridges, lighting, landscaping, public art and other aspects of the project.
