Gay Marriage, Recycling, Freight Rail: SLP Council Candidates Debate

Sue Santa, Gregg Lindberg, Tim Brausen and Bill Theobald spoke at a candidate forum hosted by the League of Women Voters Tuesday evening.

The four candidates running for contested seats on the St. Louis Park city council spoke at a candidate forum Tuesday evening sponsored by the League of Women Voters.

St. Louis Park city council member Sue Santa and her Ward 3 challenger, Gregg Lindberg, were joined by Tim Brausen and Bill Theobald, who are running for Julia Ross's seat.

In the forum, which took a little more than an hour, candidates answered questions about their priorities in office, the city's recycling program, the diversity of St. Louis Park, gay marriage and freight rail.

Council members Sue Sanger and Anne Mavity are running unopposed for re-election.
