The League of Women Voters, St. Louis Park, is sponsoring a Candidate Forum on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at 7 pm for the 3 candidates running for the position of Council Member At Large – B. The Forum will be held at the St. Louis Park City Hall, in the Council Chambers .
Those running for the At Large-B vacancy are Claudia Johnston-Madison, Tim Brausen and Jake Spano. Steve Hallfin and Justin Kaufmann are running for Council Member At Large-A seat and have been invited to attend as well, but will not be part of the forum.
Forums are an opportunity for the community to get to know and ask questions of individuals running for office so that they can make an informed decision at the polls. A primary election will be held on Tuesday, August 9th for the At Large-B seat. A General Election for both seats will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2011.
