City Hall Renovations Causing Slight Detour for Visitors

Visitors to St. Louis Park City Hall will need to take a slight detour for the next few months, as the building undergoes a massive first floor renovation project.

The current main entrance to City Hall—located on the south side of the building via Raleigh Avenue—officially closed to members of the public as of May 30. Rather than park in the lot on the south side of the building, visitors to City Hall should park in the east parking lot, accessed from Minnetonka Boulevard.

Because the southern entrance will be closed during construction, visitors an access City Hall's second floor on the north side of the building. A temporary receptionist desk will also be installed at the entrance, with any deliveries to City Hall also using that entry point.

City officials expect the renovation project to be complete by the third week of October. The renovations will include a new entrance and welcome center for the building, new meeting rooms available to the public for use, consolidated office space and a number of other improvements to the first floor.
