Watching from the sidelines also meant Kaufman and Hallfin haven’t been able to garner the name recognition of the at-large B winners. Both plan to get in front of as many people as they can—something Hallfin noticed from the at-large B primary winners.

“Both Jake (Spano) and Claudia (Johnston-Madison) really got out there and knocked on doors,” Hallfin said.

Kaufman and Hallfin are working to build public awareness of their own campaigns in the lead-up to Nov. 8.

“With the primary done, it’s swinging into full gear,” Kaufman said.
