Windows Shattered, Drivers Frightened in Excelsior Blvd Rock Throwings

Police said there were at least seven incidents of large rocks being thrown at moving cars on Monday and Tuesday on Excelsior Boulevard.

St. Louis Park police are looking for suspects after large rocks with diameters of up to two-and-a-half inches were thrown at moving vehicles on Monday and Tuesday evening on Excelsior Boulevard.

No drivers or passengers were injured, but some of the rocks have dented doors and shattered windows. Police are offering a $500 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.

Police said there were seven incidents of rocks being thrown at cars driving westbound on Excelsior Boulevard, near Louisiana Avenue, on Monday and Tuesday. Two of the incidents were between 10 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. Monday, with the rest happening between 3 p.m. and 10:10 p.m. Tuesday.
