(VIDEO) City Says 'Hello' to New Fire Station

The new Station No. 2 is open, while Station No. 1 will open later this spring.

One of two new fire stations in St. Louis Park has opened, while its partner is not far behind.

The new Station No. 2, located right beside the old on Louisiana Avenue, opened on March 12 with a quick morning ceremony. Now that firefighters have moved over, the old station there is set to be demolished later this spring.

The old has , and its replacement should be open later this spring.

Construction of the two new fire stations is a roughly $15.5 million project that, to date, has taken about 10 months.
