Two Children Died of 'Complications of Drowning': Medical Examiner
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office released the causes of death of two children who went into a holding pond in a car on Nov. 21.
Zenavia Cloemina Rennie, 5, died at 1:39 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, at Hennepin County Medical Center.
Alarious Mercelle Coleman-Guerrido, 7, died at 5:50 p.m. Nov. 21 at Amplatz Childrens Hospital.
Both children lived in Maple Grove, according to the news releases; the Minnesota State Patrol said they lived in Brooklyn Center.

Marion M. Guerrido had five children—including Zenavia and Alarious—in her car when it went into a holding pond in St. Louis Park at about 6:15 a.m. Thursday. The Minnesota State Patrol and Hennepin County Sheriff's Office are investigating the incident.
Marion is Alarious' mother and was dating Zenavia's father.

“They’re so sweet and so nice, just the best kids, they really are,” said Laura Montray, a teacher at the Odyssey Academy, where four of the children went to school.
