October was a scary month in St. Louis Park, as one person was shot and killed and another shot during an attempted burglary.

The first incident occurred on Oct. 3, when a 55-year-old man outside of a St. Louis Park office building, then later killed himself in Minneapolis. The incident occurred a day before what would have been the couple's .

It was the first reported homicide in St. Louis Park since November 2010, when a man at the off Highway 7.

The homeowner was injured, but not fatally, and the suspect got away. Police eventually released a full suspect description, as well as a , but no arrests have been made in the case.
