SLP Man Faces Drug, Weapons Charges After Search

A St. Louis Park man faces two felony charges after police officers reportedly recovered 18 pounds of marijuana, two handguns and a ballistic vest from his residence.

Frederik Marshall Anderson, 24, was charged with fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance and commission of a crime while wearing or possessing a ballistic vest. He was also charged with a gross misdemeanor—prohibited person in possession of a firearm. Anderson is prohibited from possessing a firearm due to a previous conviction for rioting.

Anderson is in Hennepin County custody on $75,000 bail, with a court appearance scheduled for Monday.

On Wednesday, the Southwest Hennepin Drug Task Force executed a search at Anderson's residence in the 2700 block of Jersey Avenue South, which turned up the drugs and weapons, according to a press release from the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office.

The task force consists of officers and deputies from the following agencies: Eden Prairie Police Department, Hopkins Police Department, Edina Police Department, Minnetonka Police Department, St. Louis Park Police Department and the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office.
