St. Louis Park Man Charged with Beating Acquaintance in Front of His Mother

The man's mother corroborated her son's story with police.

A St. Louis Park man is accused of brawling on the street in front of his 2705 Louisiana Court apartment building and threatening to kill the man he assaulted.

Travis Tashun-Michael Wilson, 19, is charged with two misdemeanor counts of fifth-degree assault.

Around 9:10 p.m. on July 24, Wilson approached a man in front of his apartment building and began to throw punches with closed fists several times on the side of his head and the front of his face, according to a criminal complaint.

The man’s mother watched the fight and corroborated her son’s story to police. Police found multiple large bumps on the man’s head, consistent with where he said he was hit.

The man and his mother both told police that Wilson threatened to kill the man as he was walking away.

When police arrived, Wilson was not at the scene, but a friend gave police his name.
