Police Release Vehicle Sketch in SLP Shooting

A $5,000 reward is being offered for information about the Oct. 27 crime.

The St. Louis Park Police Department is offering a $5,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for a that occurred last week.

And a unique car could be the key in cracking the case.

On Wednesday, police released a rendering of the vehicle believed to have been used by the suspect as he fled from 9339 Cedar Lake Rd. at around 2 p.m. on Oct. 27.

That suspect—reported to be a 20- to 30-year-old black male with dreadlocks, standing about 5 feet 8 inches tall with a slender build, and last seen wearing a gray hoodie and stocking cap—reportedly shot homeowner Eric Zahniser when Zahniser walked in on a burglary.

Zahniser remains at Hennepin County Medical Center but is expected to recover, police report.

The unique suspect vehicle has been identified as a 1990s vintage Pontiac Grand Am or similar type vehicle, white in color, with blue flames or decals on the sides and hood.
