Natchez Avenue House Fire Heavy on Smoke, Light on Damage

No one was injured in Thursday morning's St. Louis Park house fire Thursday morning.

St. Louis Park fire fighters extinguished a one-alarm house fire on the the corner of 31st Street and Natchez Avenue.

Residents saw smoke streaming down from their attic into a bedroom.

"I was sleeping and my mom yelled at me because the house was burning," said one resident, who noted that he didn't see flames. "[The fire department] drilled a big hole in the ceiling."

The fire department said they are still investigating the cause of the incident.
