More Than $14,000 Donated To Coleman-Guerrido and Rennie Families
There have been 221 contributions so far to a fund on giveforward.com.
As of early Monday morning, a total of $14,431 had been contributed to a giveforward.com fund for the families of five children who were in a car that crashed into a holding pond.
Alarious Coleman-Guerrido, 7, and Zenavia C. Rennie, 5, died on Thursday, Nov. 21. On that date, Alarious' mother, Marion Guerrido, was driving them and three other children to her mother's house. Guerrido's car went into a holding pond at the intersection of highways 100 and 7 in St. Louis Park.
The children were in the submerged vehicle for 25 to 45 minutes.
Aliyana E. Rennie, 1; Amani N. Coleman-Guerrido, 5; and Zarihana M. Rennie, 6, are still in the hospital. Aliyana and Amani have been responding to verbal commands, according to Rick Petry, the family's attorney.
Petry set up the fund on giveforward.com. The fund goal is set at $100,000.
Several people have commented on the site after they made donations:

Lynn Gehris: “So devastating, so tragic, and so incomprehensible. On my way to work—I passed the aftermath. The car on the bank of the pond, with the windows busted out … I am so, so sorry. My heart and prayers are with all of the family affected by this.”
Ron and Linda Rodgers: “You are in our thoughts and prayers.”
Another mom who cares: “We send you and you family our prayers and love. We are so sorry. You community cares about you!”
