Mike Pollitz Remembered at MN Peace Officers Memorial

There were blue candles and songs at a ceremony for the fallen—including the St. Louis Park officer, WCCO-TV reported.

The Minnesota Peace Officers Memorial was the setting Saturday for a ceremony that honored officers who have died on duty, including St. Louis Park Police Officer Mike Pollitz, WCCO-TV reported.

His widow, Ilana Pollitz credited the Minnesota Law Enforcement Memorial Association (LEMA) and Minnesota Concerns of Police Survivors (COPS), told WCCO's Reg Chapman, “When Mike passed away I thought about moving back home to Chicago; but because of LEMA and MN COPS—the support and family and friends I have here—I decided to stay.”
