Man Arrested for Punching Fiancé in Lobby of SpringHill Suites Marriott

The fiancé said she did not fear for her safety since she is "bigger than him," according to the police report.

A St. Paul man was arrested at the SpringHill Suites Marriott in St. Louis Park on Dec. 15 after his fiancé told the desk manager that “he just hit me.”

The man’s fiancé told police they were arguing in the lobby about past relationships when he punched her in the face. The woman declined medical attention.

The front desk manager told police that he saw the couple arguing in the lobby and exchange cuss words around 2 a.m. He said they then went around the corner and he heard “slapping noises” before the woman came to the counter, holding her face with her hand, and saying that she had been hit.
