Man Arrested for Hurling Remote Control at SLP Girlfriend

The remote control broke into several pieces and cut the woman's elbow.

A 35-year-old Owatanna man was arrested for throwing a television remote control at his St. Louis Park girlfriend hard enough to cut her elbow and break the remote control.

Around 2:45 p.m. on Jan. 11, the woman woke up her boyfriend so he could help her move a bunk bed into her apartment on the 4000 block of Meadowbrook Lane, but they started arguing about her parenting style.

While she was putting on her shoes to go to work, he made a “charging” movement toward her and threw the remote control, she told police.
