‘Hey, Nice Watch, Can I See It?’ Thief Tells Boy in Park

An 18-year-old St. Louis Park man has been charged with felony theft.

An 18-year-old St. Louis Park man is accused of stealing a watch from a boy while he played in Creekside Park.

Samuel Terrance Abron, is charged with felony theft in the Aug. 22 incident.

A boy was playing in the park behind his home on Meadowbrook Lane around 8:30 p.m. when a man approached him.

“Hey, nice watch, can I see it?” the man told the boy.

When the boy offered his arm, the man grabbed the watch from his wrist.

Police arrested Abron for matching the boy’s description of a black male with a tattoo on his forearm.

The boy later identified Abron in a lineup.

He faces up to five years behind bars.
