Fire Ravages St. Louis Park Home, No One Hurt

The fire started Wednesday afternoon at a house in the 6800 block of 23rd Street West.

A St. Louis Park home was damaged by a fire Wednesday afternoon, but no injuries were reported.

Firefighters responded to the 6800 block of 23rd Street West at approximately 3:15 p.m. after a neighbor called 911 to report smoke filling the house.

The fire caused significant damage to the southwest corner of the house, but an adult male escaped the fire unharmed as crews arrived. Crews quickly extinguished the blaze.

Crews from Edina and Golden Valley, and paramedics from the Hennepin County Medical Center, assisted the St. Louis Park Fire Department.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
