Driver Might Have Overcorrected Before Going Into Holding Pond

A warrant says preliminary information shows evidence of overcorrection near the intersections of highways 100 and 7.

A woman who was driving a vehicle when it went into a holding pond Nov. 21 might have overcorrected near the intersection of highways 100 and 7.

A preliminary accident reconstruction found evidence of overcorrection, according to the Star Tribune. The road was wet at the time.

When the car Marion Guerrido was driving went into the St. Louis Park holding pond, five children were passengers: Aliyana E. Rennie, 1; Amani N. Coleman-Guerrido, 5; Zenavia C. Rennie, 5; Zarihana M. Rennie, 6; and Alarious Coleman-Guerrido, 7.

Zenavia and Alarious died on Nov. 21. Zenavia's funeral will be noon Saturday at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Minneapolis, according to the Star Tribune. Alarious' family will hold a private service.

Amani "is playing with toys and talking," according to KARE 11. Aliyana is "doing better." The Star Tribune reported Zarihana is improving, as well.

People have donated more than $19,000 to the Coleman-Guerrido and Rennie familes, since a fund was created on giveforward.com.
