No Injuries In Overnight Crash At 169 And Cedar Lake Road

Police say both drivers—a Bloomington man and a Plymouth man—tried to make the light.

Two cars crashed Tuesday night in front of the former Cedar Manor school.

A Plymouth woman was sitting in her car on Cedar Lake Road, waiting for eastbound traffic to pass before she made a turn onto the Highway 169 on-ramp, according to a report filed by Officer Mary Albrecht with the St. Louis Park Police Department.

As the light turned yellow, the woman told police she believed oncoming traffic was slowing down. As she started to make her turn, a Bloomington man driving eastbound on Cedar Lake Road sped up to make it through the intersection before the light changed. The two cars collided. The driver of the eastbound car told police that he wasn't sure how the accident had happened.
