Blotter: Two Vehicles Reported Stolen in St. Louis Park

Local police also continue to deal with more thefts now that the weather has improved.

The following incidents occurred between April 23 and April 27, and were included in the most recent weekly report, sent out on May 4. Specific details come from individual incident reports maintained by the department.

April 23 – Police were called to the 3600 block of Pennsylvania Avenue on a report of a stolen vehicle. A 26-year-old male said his 1995 blue Chevrolet Tahoe was taken from in front of his apartment.  The man said the keys were with him at the time. No suspects have been identified.

April 23 – A 55-year-old male reported that his 1995 red Chevrolet Lumina was stolen from the 1600 block of Natchez Avenue.  No suspects have been identified, and it is unclear if this case is related to the other car theft reported on April 23.

April 24 – A 20-year-old woman was arrested for drunk driving after police pulled over her over-crowded vehicle on Excelsior Boulevard. An officer noticed seven people crammed inside the vehicle, including one person sitting unrestrained on someone else’s lap. The woman, who has not yet been charged, registered a .156 blood-alcohol reading. The officer also found a small amount of marijuana, as well as Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone pills, in the vehicle.

April 24 – A 67-year-old woman reported to police that she was bitten by a dog while walking in the 3300 block of Alabama Avenue. The woman said the dog pulled free from a tie and charged at her, biting her in the buttocks but not breaking skin. Isaac Vogel, 31, of 3328 Alabama Ave., was later given “potentially dangerous dog” documentation.

April 25- A 50-year-old man reported that several tools, valued collectively at roughly $700, were stolen from his apartment’s garage in the 300 block of Shelard Parkway. The man said his garage was unlocked. No suspects have been identified.

April 27 – A bike, valued at $200, was stolen from a garage in the 3900 block of Colorado Avenue. No suspects have been identified.
