Blotter: Thieves Nab Beauty Box, Bike

St. Louis Park police are also looking into a burglary at a local construction site.

Editor's Note: The following incidents occurred between Feb. 5 and Feb. 7, and were included in the St. Louis Park Police Department's most recent weekly report, sent out on Feb. 15. Specific details come from individual incident reports maintained by the department.

Feb. 5 - A 60-year-old woman reported to police that an Avon package left for her at her doorstep in the 7500 block of Edgebrook Drive had been stolen. The package contained roughly $90 worth of miscellaneous beauty products. No suspects have been identified.

Feb. 5 - Police responded to Cub Foods after a 50-year-old woman said her bike, which she had locked to a rack outside, had been stolen. The bike is worth roughly $1,300. No suspects have been identified.

Feb. 7 - Police were called to 7317 West Lake St., site of the under-construction Hardcoat building, on a burglary report. The site manager said an unknown suspect apparently entered through an unsecured window, used a wheelbarrow to gather tools and other items, and left with a trash can full of stolen goods. In all, about $3,300 worth of tools, as well as several copper bars and pipes, were stolen.
