Blotter: Converters, Tires Swiped From St. Louis Park Cars

Local police found one vehicle sitting on blocks with all four tires missing.

June 9 - A 79-year-old man told police that a UPS package was stolen from his front steps in the 1600 block of Princeton Avenue South. The man said a piece of outgoing mail—with a check inside—was also possibly stolen. No suspects have been identified.

June 10 - Police were called to a home in the 1600 block of Hampshire Avenue on a report of theft from a car. A 50-year-old man said someone pried open his car's door, then stole roughly $5,000 worth of electronic musical equipment. The man said a missing garbage can was likely used to transport the stolen goods. Police recovered the can—and the equipment—in nearby . No suspects have been identified.

June 11 - Police were called to a parking lot at 5600 Camerata Way after a 69-year-old man reported that catalytic converters were cut off and stolen from his car. No suspects have been identified.

June 13 - Catalytic converters, valued at $2,000, were reported stolen from another car in the 2400 block of Highway 100 South. It is unclear if the two cases are related. No suspects have been identified.

June 13 - A 26-year-old woman told police that someone jacked her car up, stole all four tires, then left the vehicle on blocks. It was parked in the 5600 block of 36th Street. No suspects have been identified.

June 16 - Police were called to a parking lot in the 2700 block of Louisiana Court on the report of a large fight involving a number of women—one of whom had a baby in her hands, a witness said. When police arrived, no one was at the scene, and there were no other witnesses.

June 18 - An unknown suspect used a bolt cutter to cut through a chain on the back door of . However, the door was locked from the inside, and no entry was made into the liquor store.
