Blotter: After Argument, Woman Backs Over Other Woman's Foot

St. Louis Park police also recently responded to several burglaries.

Editor's Note: The following incidents occurred between Oct. 13 and Oct. 18, and were included in the most recent weekly report, sent out on Oct. 26. Specific details come from individual incident reports maintained by the department.

Oct. 13 – A 45-year-old woman reported to police that another woman, 35, backed over her foot in a parking lot in the 2700 block of Louisiana Avenue. The first woman said the second woman was inside her car and the two were having a heated conversation. The second woman then pulled away, driving over the 45-year-old’s foot. She refused medical treatment, and no charges were filed.

Oct. 13 – Police responded to a home in the 2900 block of Quentin Avenue South after an attempted break-in. A 59-year-old woman said she was inside the home when she heard a loud “crash” at the front of the house. She found that the front door had been broken in. The damage was reported at $250. No suspects have been identified and there are no known witnesses.

Oct. 13 – Police responded to the at the on a report of shoplifting. A clerk said she was alone in the store helping two female friends when one asked for help in the dressing room. The clerk went to help, and when she returned to the main part of the store, she discovered the other woman was gone, along with eight pairs of True Religion jeans, valued at $1,800 total. The other woman, 18, told police she only knew the second woman through a friend and didn’t have a phone number for her. A name given for the suspect did not show up when police did a DVS database search. The clerk said there is surveillance footage available from the store.

Oct. 17 – A $100 bike was reported stolen from an unsecured garage in the 3800 block of Wooddale Avenue. No suspects have been identified.

Oct. 18 – Police responded to a burglary at a home in the 2600 block of Florida Avenue. A 29-year-old man said he was in a basement bedroom when he heard noises upstairs, but he thought it was just his sister. He then heard someone coming downstairs and heard a flashlight being clicked on. The man turned on his bedroom light, and he heard someone run upstairs and out the back door. The man found that a window and screen had been opened. Stolen was a purse along with several credit cards and IDs, a gaming console and a laptop. No suspects have been identified.
