Dahlheimer followed her to the mall and accused her of calling police.

He then grabbed her phone from her hand and threw it against a wall, breaking it, she told police.

She returned to her car and locked the doors.

Dahlheimer punched the driver’s side window several times until the glass shattered, shards dropping into the car and cutting his girlfriend’s arm and leg, she told police.

Police were called around 2:30 p.m. and arrested Dahlheimer later in the day.

He has been previously convicted of gross misdemeanor domestic assault in April 2012 and misdemeanor domestic assault June 2011.

Dahlheimer is being held in Hennepin County Jail and faces up to five years behind bars.
