Phyllis Bauer, Bookkeeper from North Dakota, Dies at 80

Phyllis M. Bauer, a bookkeeper from North Dakota who retired with her husband in the Twin Cities, died on Nov. 3 at the age of 80.

Bauer grew up in Napoleon, N.D., where she served as the bookkeeper for her husband Al's body shop until 1977 before moving first to Colorado, and later to Minnesota.

"Phyllis spent her last two years enjoying her family and spending time with her many friends in the Twin Cities and at Park Shore Senior Campus," reads her Star Tribune obituary

"Phyllis and Al were treasured friends and neighbors," wrote Betty and Jack Mayer of Minnetonka in a Legacy.com guestbook. "Their passing leaves an empty space."

Bauer is survived by four children, Ronald, Colette, Robert and Patrick, and eight grandchildren.
