Creative, humorous and generous, Leon brightened the lives of those he met. Leon was the founder of the L J Rubber Stamp Company which he retired from in 1995. Leon was a life long member of Wooddale Lutheran Church, and a veteran of the United States Air Force. Leon with Jessie was a 50-year resident of St. Louis Park and was the organizer of the West 40th Lane Fourth of July Block Party, always leading its parade. He loved classical music, comedy, popcorn at Lake Harriet and weekly art lessons with his sister-in-law, Donna Nesser.
The family wishes to thank all his caregivers that helped make his final years special, especially Liz Keller from Parkwood's Assisted Living.
Interment Lakewood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Minneapolis Pops or Lutheran World Relief.
