Darlene Elaine Mickelson of St. Louis Park
Jan. 27, 1929 - April 05, 2013
A beautiful, generous, strong-willed Norwegian died April 5th, peacefully at home surrounded by her family. Born January 27th, 1929 to parents Ole and Clara Mikkelson of Osakis, MN. She married her life partner of 66 years, Sherwood, in 1947.

Preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Ardell Erickson and Irene Lanum; brothers, Clinton, James and Cameron Mikkelson.
Survived by husband, Sherwood; daughter, Nancy (Dennis) Dahlien; grandchildren, Matthew (Beth) Dahlien and Mali (Eric) Wenkus; her beloved great grandchildren, Madeline and new baby Dahlien (due in September), along with Miller, Becker and McLaine Wenkus; sister, Carol (Lloyd) Akervik; brother, Ronnie (LaVerne) Mikkelson; many much loved nieces and nephews.

We wish to thank the Allina Hospice Program and especially Bev Hood; without their help and compassion we could not have honored Darlene’s wishes that she be at home.
Private interment at Lakewood Cemetery.
