Survived by wife, Doris; daughter, Sandy (John) Fritscher; grandson, Matthew Fritscher; nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by sons, Douglas, David and Robert; parents, Otto and Freda; brother, Burwyn; sister, Elaine Loraas.

Ardelle was a WWII Navy veteran and a member of the Knights of Columbus #3949, Fourth Degree. A lifelong elementary school educator, Ardelle taught for 3 years in rural MN, 1 year at Naytahwash on the White Earth Reservation, 5 years in Fosston, 2 years in Crookston and was a teacher and principal in St. Louis Park for 27 years.
Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Church of the Good Shepherd or donor’s choice.
