Former Home Economics Teacher Passes Away at 95

A service was held Monday morning for Edna Marie (Engvall) Kroll.

St. Louis Park resident Edna Marie (Engvall) Kroll, formerly of Bemidji, MN. passed away Aug. 11, 2013 at the age of 95.

According to her obituary on Legacy.com, Kroll graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1939 with a degree in home economics, which she taught at the junior high level while living in Bemidji. Kroll was also a founder of the first affiliate of The American Swedish Institute in Bemidji and Santa Lucia and Midsommer Fests in Bemidji.

Services were held at Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church at 5025 Knox Ave. S. in Minneapolis Friday morning.
