As a public employee myself, I understand the pressures under which City staff work to provide each of us with the best possible public service. Let’s face it – it is difficult to keep a community of 45,000-plus happy. In my experience, City staff does a great job in meeting our needs.
In return for their best-in-class contributions, I believe in ensuring sound professional development opportunities, competitive total rewards, and recognition for their effort. I will prioritize my support for our professional staff in decision making – making sure we recognize that City staff are the folks who deliver the things we need from our City.
After all, it is city staff who ensure we have the best experience possible as residents of St. Louis Park.
