The League of Women Voters sponsors a book review of "The Orchard" by Theresa Weir

"The Orchard" is a memoir by Theresa Weir, who has written many novels under the pen name Anne Frasier.  She writes about her life on an apple farm in Iowa.  Her true story is spell binding in itself, but also has the purpose of spreading the word about the use of pesticides and herbicides in providing perfect fruits and vegetables for our tables.  She lives in St. Paul and will be present at the meeting via SKYPE if her health permits.  The book is available at the Hennepin County Library.
