"THE CHILDREN'S REPUBLIC"
(based of the true life story of Janusz Korczak)
Janusz Korczak (1878-1942) was the legendary
Polish-Jewish pediatrician and writer. Within the walls of his orphanage in Warsaw, he has created the Children’s Republic, a place where children were raised on the
principles of kindness and justice. During the Nazi occupation, the orphanage
was trapped in the walls of the Warsaw Ghetto. As their plight grows more
desperate, Korczak is faced with the impossible decision…
