Incident report: theft of Rolex watch June 2013: report date December 2013 by Gary Trainor owner Jewel of The Isle 6 Straight Wharf, Nantucket, Ma 02554 mobile 508-221-5666

On June 5, 2013 a customer Sean Anderson living on Cape Cod 508-280-7326 (phone contact) requested that I service a men's Rolex watch. The watch was a stainless steel date just model 15000-7270235 with a movement 3135. The approximate value $2000.00. The watch had water damage and needed a full service. I sent the watch to ER Watch Repair CO. 8700 W. 36th St. Suite 156E St. Louis Park, MN 55426 ph. 952-930-9214 owner Edward Royter. I spoke on the phone and he agreed to service the watch. I have confirmation of him receiving the watch on June 7th 2013. Several weeks passed and I requested an update as to progress. Mr. Royter told me he needed a part and was waiting for part to compleat the service. After two months I requested that he return the watch as the owner was concerned that too much time had passed and wanted his watch. At the end of August I made several calls to Edward Royter and he stated that the watch was lost and there was nothing he could do. The fault and replacement would have to come from the US post office as they lost the watch, and he was not responsible or liable for the loss.
My customer Sean Anderson did not wish for a monitory dollar amount but would only except a replacement for the Rolex watch. I was able to purchase a replacement from Basch's Watches 30596 Lorain Rd, North Olmsted, OH
(440) 777-8463 on August 23 ,2013 at a purchase price of $1820.00 and delivered the replacement watch in hand to Sean Anderson the later part of August 2013. I called ER Watch Repair and reported that I had to replace the watch at a cost of $1820.00 as too much time had passed and I believed the watch would not be returned to me. I have tried to contact Edward Royter several times since then by phone but he is unable to talk and does not return phone calls. As of this writing I have not received any compensation for the loss or theft of this watch from Edward Royter as he reported to me verbally.

Thank you
