Trial for St. Louis Park Teen Moved

Michael Richard Swanson, 17, is now set to stand trial in Carroll County on June 20.

One of the trials for the St. Louis Park teenager accused of in November has been moved to a new location after both the defense and prosecution argued that Michael Richard Swanson wouldn't get a fair trial if the case stayed put.

Swanson, 17, is now set to stand trial in Carroll County, Iowa, not Humboldt County, which is where one of the two shootings on Nov. 15 occurred. The trial date is still June 20.

The teenager's other trial—set for Kossuth County on July 27—has not yet been moved.
