Learn More About Coyotes in St. Louis Park

Lynsey White Dasher, an expert on human-wildlife conflicts, will speak at City Council Chambers on Thursday.

Coyote sightings have become common occurrences in St. Louis Park. They been spotted numerous times, and just two days ago, YouTube user KRisti Nelson uploaded video of them howling near Bass Lake Park. Coyotes have even reportedly killed a handful of dogs.

Residents will get a chance to learn more about coyotes when a nationally renowned expert on human-wildlife conflicts comes to speak in St. Louis Park. Lynsey White Dasher has done research and data analysis for The Cook County Coyote project in Chicago, the largest study of urban coyotes in the country, and published a study of coyote attacks on people.

Dasher will share tips on how to deal with coyotes at a forum taking place at 7 p.m. Thursday in City Council Chambers (5005 Minnetonka Blvd.).
