(UPDATED) Golfers Tee Off for Jablonski

Warm weather allowed golfers to hit the links in January for "Jabs."

A charity golf tournament drew more than 100 golfers Tuesday in an effort to raise money for the Jack Jablonski Fund.

The event was held at the CreeksBend Golf Course in New Prague. Hosted by twincitiesgolf.com, it was the first January tournament held outdoors in the 15-year history of the website. Golfers paid $20 each, with half of the proceeds going to the fund. You can see photos of the event on twincitiesgolf.com's Facebook page.

There was also a silent auction that raised money for "Jabs."

"It hits close to home, a lot of us either grew up playing hockey or we have kids playing hockey, and I think as a community, this creates an opportunity for us to bond together and really create a miracle," Kevin Unterreiner of twincitiesgolf.com told KSTP-TV.

Since going online a few days ago, the Jack Jablonski Fund has already received more than $30,000 in donations. Donations can also be made in person at any Wells Fargo location, or can be mailed to: Jack Jablonski Fund, P.O. Box 16387, St. Louis Park, MN, 55416.

Jablonski, a sophomore hockey player, was he took in a game on Dec. 30. On Saturday, his mother, Leslie Jablonski, said Jack , which wasn't expected of him so soon.
