Freezing Weather Expected in Hennepin County

The National Weather Service has issued a "freeze warning" for early Tuesday and Wednesday.

The National Weather Service is warning that temperatures will likely fall below freezing overnight Monday and Tuesday in the Twin Cities metro area, including St. Louis Park.

Freezing temperatures are highly likely between 1 and 10 a.m. both Tuesday and Wednesday morning, according to the weather service warning.

The conditions could kill sensitive plants, the warning says.

“Tender, young vegetation will be most at risk,” according to the warning, “although fruit trees may also suffer some impacts.”

High temperatures are expected to be back be in the high-50s by Wednesday afternoon and the low-60s by Thursday, with lows in the 50s by Thursday as well.
