Construction Underway on Highway 7
Work in the area is expected to last three to four weeks.
Motorists should be prepared for a bit of a route change if driving on Highway 7 near Blake Road/Aquila Avenue.
CenterPoint Energy started construction on a utility project at the intersection on Monday, and the project is expected to take three to four weeks.
Both Blake Road and Aquila Avenue are closed at Highway 7, meaning Blake Road/Aquila Avenue through traffic is closed, as are all left turns at all legs of the intersection. Right turns at the intersection, however, remain open.
