Big Snowfall Forecasted for Twin Cities

Ten inches or more of white fluffy stuff could fall on Sunday.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for the Twin Cities as 10 inches or more of snow is expected to fall Sunday and into Monday morning.

The warning takes effect at 6 a.m Sunday. The heaviest snow is expected during the day on Sunday and into Sunday evening. Along with the snow, wind is expected to pick up, with gusts of nearly 30 mph forecasted for Sunday.

With the heavy snow in the forecast, the NWS advises only traveling if its an emergency on Sunday. Also, when snowfall reaches three inches, street parking is automatically banned in St. Louis Park.
