Why I am running for School board

I have been a life long resident of the twin cities area and a resident of St. Louis Park for 5 years. As I made the decision to adopt my children I began to look for a community to raise them in. I looked at the diversity, location to the cities and the quality of the school's. I looked at outcomes and curriculums. I was impressed with what I had found. I had made my decision, so I bought a home in St. Louis Park.

My son is now entering the 1st grade and my daughter will be 2 in October. I want to be part of their continued education in the St. Louis Park Schools. I want to advocate not only for my own children but all to the student in St. Louis Park. Our kids are the future and they need strong and dedicated people to be invested in their future. I believe I am that person and hope to be elected in November.

I currently work in Human Services in Ramsey County. I have volunteered for Big Brother and Big Sisters as a mentor in the school based program. I was a volunteer for the Minneapolis Police Reserve. I am a foster parent in Hennepin Co. I have also had positions on 2 board of directors Vail Place and Home Within Reach. I am and will be committed to serving the students of St. Louis Park. I hope for your vote in November.

I can be reached at 612 385-0934 if you have questions or thoughts. My email is johnsonc302@gmail.com.
