Steel Toe Taproom

Steel Toe Brewing's taproom is now open.

Since August when Steel Toe received the St. Louis Park City Council's blessing, owner Jason Schoneman has been working on the perfect taproom to compliment the brewery located at 4848 West 35th Street.

Last weekend was opening weekend for the taproom.

From Steel Toe's Facebook page: "We had a great time pouring pints for everyone! Thank you for such a great STB Tap room opening weekend. We highly encourage you to come back again and again!"

And Steel Toe customers seemed to enjoy themselves as well, with comments such as these:

West Metro Remodeling Fair

Want to gain inspiration and knowledge for a successful home remodel?

The West Metro Remodeling Fair has been around for 21 years. This year's fair is Sunday, Feb. 24 from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Eisenhower Community Center (1001 Highway 7 in Hopkins). The fair is free.

Mortgage Subsidiary to Close

A St. Louis Park mortgage subsidiary of Wells Fargo announced plans to close on March. 7.

Edward Jones Mortgage notified the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development that 210 Minnesota workers could lose their jobs, according to Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal.

Edward Jones stopped offering mortgages on Jan. 11, and they said in a statement that "mortgage applications currently being processed will be completed as normal."
