Recruitment Company Uses Social Media to Find Candidates

SourceMob, a St. Louis Park-based employee recruitment company, turns to Facebook and Twitter to find candidates.

SourceMob is a local business that helps companies expand their talent acquisitions by tapping into social and mobile media.

According to the St. Louis Park company's website, businesses like Upsher-Smith Laboratories, Inc. and KDV have turned to SourceMob to use more proactive techniques when it comes to recruiting.

Founder Jeffery Giesener was interviewed by TheLineMedia.com and said that the opportunity to use social media as a tool to find talent is untapped.

"We saw an opportunity to bring a new lens to the talent acquisition space," Giesener said in an article published Nov. 12. "There's an e-commerce angle that hasn't existed before."

The Line reported that SourceMob reaches passive candidates, a group of people that are particularly hard to connect with. "It's getting really exciting to see the potential for what we've built," Giesener said in the article. "We're really in the right place at the right time with this."
