Preorder the iPhone 5 in St. Louis Park

You don't have to drive to an Apple retail store and stand in line for hours to get your iPhone 5 on launch day.

The iPhone 5 has been speculated about and anticipated for several months, and now it is a reality as Apple announced the iPhone 5 at an event in San Francisco Wednesday.

In fact, JP Morgan economist Michael Feroli predicts the device could spur a nationwide spending spree that has the potential to boost the GDP.

Previous versions of the iPhone spurred long lines on launch day at Apple Store locations across the country. But there's no need to travel to a Twin Cities Apple Store and wait in a long line. It will be available soon at several St. Louis Park retailers. Preorders begin on Friday, Sept. 14, with phone availability on Friday, Sept. 21.
