Four Firkins Moving—Can You Guess Where?

St. Louis Park craft beer store will be moving to a new locale, and staff want their customers to guess where for a prize.

The store will be giving away a $100 Firkins Gift Card and a Firkins shirt to the first person to post a picture on The Four Firkins Facebook page with themselves in front of the proposed new location and tag "The Four Firkins."

Staff will be posting daily clues to the store's Facebook page and Twitter account until someone guesses correctly, and the clues will become progressively more specific. The first clue, which was posted Wednesday, was: The new store will be located in St. Louis Park, but it is not in the Texa-Tonka plaza across the street from our current location!

Owner Jason Alvey has signed a lease for the mysterious new location, which will be larger than the store's cozy current spot on Minnetonka Boulevard. Alvey said that finding a new location was a lengthy and tedious process, and a previous deal even fell through before the new lease was signed.

Alvey and his store have been in the news lately for his push to pass legislation in Minnesota that would allow liquor stores to sell store-branded merchandise. Local legislators Rep. Steve Simon and Sen. Ron Latz both authored supportive bills, but the proposals at the Capitol.
