Cinco de Mayo at Rojo Mexican Grill

This year there’s a new place to paint the day Rojo on Cinco de Mayo! Rojo  Mexican Grill will celebrate the Mexican holiday “Cinco de Mayo” and the beginning of summer with its first annual Cinco de Mayo event on May 5. The restaurant will raise the doors, dust off the patio and spill the fun out onto the block-long sidewalk and into the new Rojo Room for the daylong celebration. Music, street food, entertainment, contests and giveaways, as well as food and drink specials ($3 beers, tacos and margaritas, $1 cotija corn) will be featured.

Cinco de Mayo (Spanish for "fifth of May") is a holiday held on May 5 that commemorates the Mexican army's unlikely victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. It is celebrated primarily in the state of Puebla and in the United States as a celebration of Mexican heritage and pride.
