Commercial Redevelopments Stall in SLP

St. Louis Park's tax rolls may be benefiting from a boom in residential construction, including several recent, high-profile apartment projects, but developers are having a harder time balancing those developments with new commercial office space. 

According to the Sun Sailor, flagging state and local subsidies for developers are partly to blame. In the case of a planned office tower in the West End, "challenging market conditions" are to blame.

Nearly 1.2 million square feet of planned office space remain unbuilt as projects flag, the paper reports.
