The Park Theater Co. will bring his play 'The Illusionist: Shakespeare Reveals All' to the Hopkins Center for the Arts in September.

St. Louis Park playwright Jerry Wilson will bring his play The Illusionist: Shakespeare Reveals All to the west metro thanks to a grant from, the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council, the council announced Wednesday.

The council awarded The Park Theater Co. $5,000 to produce six performances of Wilson’s original play. Performances will take place at the Hopkins Center for the Arts' Studio Theater in September.

The grant was part of a $317,438 package of grants awarded to 66 organizations through the council’s Community Arts grant program. The organizations and projects chosen had to demonstrate both strong artistic quality and a connection to a community.
