Where's the Money? Mapping St. Louis Park Incomes by Census Tract

What's the range of incomes represented in SLP? And how do the closest neighbors of St. Louis Park residents compare? Read on to find the answer.

Drive through St. Louis Park, and you will notice that some blocks are more affluent than others. But just how wide is the disparity between different parts of town?

Thanks to the efforts of the website, Rich Blocks, Poor Blocks, we have the answers to those questions. The site uses data compiled from the 2006-2010 American Community Survey to show median household income by census tract.

The data show that the median household income in St. Louis Park ranges from $44,737 to $117,647. According to the data, the census tracts in northeast St. Louis Park have the highest median incomes—$117,647. Those tracts are near Benilde-St. Margaret's School. Residents in tracts around Browndale Park have the next highest median incomes, at $98,412.

Residents in tracts near Westwood Health Care Center have the lowest median income in SLP, at $44,737.

Minnesota as a whole has a median income range of $49,964 to $60,207.
